Promoting business, culture, and organizations
The foundation’s purpose is to promote business, cultural, and organizational life by owning and developing meeting places that contribute to increased trade, knowledge sharing, and inspiration.
The board of directors and the nomination committee are composed of representatives from the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) and Virke.
NOVA Spektrum
NOVA Spektrum is an international venue for trade fairs, exhibitions, congresses, conferences, banquets, concerts, and events, and conducts activities related to these. NOVA Spektrum was formerly known as Norges Varemesse until 18 November 2021.

NOVA Spektrum as organizer
NOVA Spektrum organizes both trade fairs and public exhibitions. Some of the largest fairs include Oslo Design Fair, Nor-Shipping, UMAMI ARENA, Oslo Motor Show, The Garden Show (Hagemessen), Camp Villmark, and Bygg Reis Deg. NOVA Spektrum also rents out facilities to external trade fair organizers and contributes to the execution of concerts, congresses, and other events.
Flexible venue for all types of events
At NOVA Spektrum’s facilities, it is possible to organize everything from large to small trade fairs, public fairs, corporate events, or seminars combined with exhibitions, as well as large international congresses, conferences, seminars, “kick-offs,” or concerts.

The exhibition center consists of seven large and small halls, providing a total of 39,000 m² of exhibition space for fairs and events. NOVA Spektrum also hosts congresses for up to 10,000 participants – with a plenary hall seating 6,000 attendees.

The center meets international standards with 55 meeting rooms of all sizes. More than 25 of these rooms can accommodate over 100 people. In the halls, there is capacity for, among other things, 6,000 people for dinner, 2,500 people for a banquet at round tables, or 12,000 people for a standing concert.
Oslo Spektrum
Oslo Spektrum, full name Oslo Spektrum Arena ANS, is an indoor multi-purpose arena for concerts, sporting events, and large exhibitions in Norway. The arena opened in December 1990 and had its first full year of operation in 1991. In December 2005, Norges Varemesse took over ownership.

With up to 9,700 seats, Oslo Spektrum is regularly used as a concert venue when international artists visit Oslo. In addition, the arena hosts a variety of other events – such as sporting events, exhibitions, and conferences. Oslo Spektrum is centrally located in downtown Oslo, close to Oslo Central Station and Oslo Bus Terminal.
